A: We do not charge for estimates, as it simply depends on the scope of work that is needed for paint.
A: We charge per square foot, depending type and size of the painted area; type of windows, other trim work and ceilings. An estimator will come to see it. Ask your salesperson for more detail.
A: We would be happy to move items, but do recommend everything to be moved to the centre of the room to avoid extra charges.
A: Most brands of paint come in several sheens, and both latex and oil-based paints are available in different sheen levels. Gloss sheens have the highest light-reflective characteristics. Next are semigloss sheens; then satin, eggshell, or low-lustre sheens; and then flat or matte sheens.
A: Flat, eggshell and satin paint are best for interior walls, whereas semi-gloss and gloss paint are best for trim and woodwork.
A: Low sheen paints provide even light reflection and give the surface a softer look hiding imperfections.
A: Flat paint has a velvety, matte look and is the best choice to hide any wall imperfections. However, it's the least durable choice and doesn't usually stand up well to scrubbing.
A: Oil-based paint - dry to the touch in 6–8 hours and ready to recoat in 24 hours. Latex paint - dry to the touch in about 1 hour, and you can safely recoat in 4 hours.
A: A deposit is required to book a painting project. Deposits are accepted via an e transfer, cheque, cash, Visa and Mastercard (2% fee). Deposits are nonrefundable. Please ask your salesperson for details.
A: We will be required to enter and leave your home at different times during the process as a result we recommend using a lockbox on the door. If you do not have a lock box we can provide it for you.
